At Frieze Masters London 2024, Annely Juda Fine Art presents a captivating exploration of abstraction through the works of some of Britain’s most renowned artists, all centered around the theme of Line and Space.

The presentation features dynamic wall reliefs by leading British Constructionist pioneers Gillian Wise, Mary Martin and Anthony Hill, as well as a striking 20-part panel painting by Alan Charlton. Complementing these are vibrant, geometric works on paper by Sean Scully and Bridget Riley, whose rhythmic patterns and intricate forms offer a mesmerising exploration of spatial complexity.

Sculptural highlights include Strait, an early painted steel work by Anthony Caro, a steel plinth sculpture by William Tucker and wall-mounted works by contemporary practitioner, Nigel Hall.

By juxtaposing groundbreaking early 20th-century Constructionist works with contemporary pieces, the presentation reveals a fascinating dialogue between generations of non-figurative artists, showcasing the enduring impact of these early innovators on today’s British abstract art.
