This is the cover design for Sergei Tretyakov's book 'Zhonggua' ("China") published in 1927.
Alexander Rodchenko was a founding member of Russian Constructivism and was known for his politically motivated photography, posters, paintings, and sculpture. An early influence came from Malevich, whose Suprematist style contributed to Rodchenko's adoption of an austere aesthetic and use of materials.
