The photos were a present in 1960 of the artist's daughter Varvara Rodchenko to the art historian Camilla Gray, who in turn gave the photos in 1971 to Lutz Becker to mark their curatorial collaboration on the exhibition Art in Revolution at the Hayward Gallery, London, in the same year. A letter of authentication by Rodchenko’s grandson and heir Aleksandr Lavrentiev dated Mocow, October 21, 2016, is available.
